Popular: Isaac WHITE Blakey #52Ancestors 52 Weeks

Who is the most popular person on my family tree ? I looked and found out that Isaac  WHITE Blakey has 68 family trees on him on ancestry.com. I wonder why?

Who was Isaac WHITE Blakey?
Isaac was my 2nd Great Grandfather. He's' my father's father, John's father.  He was enslaved in Missouri since he was born in 1845. He became a free man sometime in his teens. He ended up in Natchez Mississippi serving in the Union Army from Nov 1, 1863 - May 13, 1866.  His name was Private Isaac BLAKER.

Isaac Blakey May 13, 1866

Who was Isaac BLAKEY?

He was the son of Andrew WHITE and Julia (FINNEY) WHITE. They were from VA.  Isaac was the only known member of his family that choose the surname BLAKEY.  He had about 11 siblings.

Isaac married his first wife, Martha (SCOTT) BLAKEY in Feb of 1870.  Martha passed in 1871. He had twin sons by Martha who later passed in 1871 in Missouri.

Isaac married his second wife was Rachel ( JACKSON  / LEPHRIDGE) BLAKEY in July of 1873. He was the father of 18 by Rachel who passed in 1916.  Isaac passed on Dec 23, 1917 in Missouri.

I don't know why people created a family tree on Isaac on ancestry.com. Some searchers are related to me. And some have matched my DNA. As for the others searchers, I guess they are connected by marriage and not by blood. Whichever way, Isaac is popular. He was a Civil War veteran. He was wounded.

Going Back Over What I've Discovered On BBW Family Connections

I'm still searching for my family connections.   There are things I haven't made progress on.  Those brick walls won't move. It feels like I'm in a dry spell. So, I've been going back over what I have. And seeing if I missed something.

As I'm documenting my discoveries, I remind myself to give credit to the sources that I find. I have been proof reading what I come across.  And I've noticed that  there are a number of searchers who have been attaching or taking what I have as their own find. We should clarify where our sources comes from.

I see that people have added tombstones to some of my family connections on Find A Grave. I'm thankful for that and their teamwork. I  haven't found new DNA connections that I know to attach to a branch. I noticed that many people don't have a full family tree and have private accounts.

Favorite Discovery: Blakey WHITE Family #52Ancestors 52 Weeks

During the Summer of 2008, I was searching for information on my Great Grandfather, Isaac Blakey on ancestry.com.  I had no luck,  locating him on the 1870 and 1880 censuses. Then, I had a thought to type in Isaac White.  I searched and searched. Then one day, I came to some discovery that I didn’t expect.
It was on June 28, 2008, I made the discovered that my Great Grandmother, Julia (Finney) White was on the 1880 census. Something on the inside of me jumped for joy
when I saw her name on my computer screen. I said out loud, “Thank You, Jesus!”

I started singing and praising God . I keep looking at the screen. I have located my ancestors. What an accomplishment!

There is more... click the above link if your interesting in reading more.
I have listed the Family Connections group below. I continue to add new information to each group. I hope that you find your family connections.

Heart Of Wanting To Know More

Welcome To February!

I have been reviewing my family connections information. I have been discovering more info and making some corrections. I haven't realized some of the things I've  overlooked.

I hope you find some of your family connections. You have to keep searching.  Don't lose hope along the way.

Not everyone wants to learn more about their family connections. Only the  ones who search and seek after what they yearn to know. We have to have the heart of knowing to know more.

We have to leave room for not knowing.  We can't find out everything we want to know about our family history.  There are the little things that come along the search we wonder about.

Every little clue helps.

Thanks for reading.
God bless you.

Going Deeper In 2020: Family Connections

Greetings! Welcome to this New Year!
Happy Twenty Twenty!
I hope you have a good start in this new year.!

I'm hoping to go deeper into what I have discovered on my family tree.  I've made a lot of new discoveries and  some DNA  matches that I need to look over. I'm trying to connect the dots.

I have put my DNA matches into groups of Dade, Bartlett and Blakey Blakley WHITE Family Connections on ancestry.com.. I have DNA cousins who I know but didn't imagine to be my relatives. I discovered that I'm an aunt cousin.

I've been updating the In Remembrance each year as I come across the information. The links posted years ago, but, I go back over to add informations.

May we find what we are looking for.

Discoveries On Family Connections

It's been a very good year in discovering family connections. I'm thankful . I've come across more than  what I would have imagine. I'm still wondering. Could I find more on what I have? I hope so.

I've been searching connections on my DNA matches. I'm color coding the matches in groups on Blakey and or White. There are a lot. However, I can't determine who is on which branch without names.

There are some who know that they are on the branch of Blakey or White. I'm on the Blakey Branch through Isaac WHITE Blakey and Martha SCOTT Blakey.

It's interesting that I'm coming across DNA matches who intermarried or had children with some on my  DADE Family Connections. This makes me wonder.

I hope that you have a wonderful journey into the Christmas Season and throughout 2020. May the LORD grant you your heart's desire. May we shine the light of God in us to those around us. May we share what we know about our family connections. May we discover more on our Family Connections.

Giving Thanks For The BBW Family Connections

Our families left behind some things for us to follow. We should honor our ancestors We can keep their memories alive as we continue to remember them. Thank God for those who have gone on before us. They led the way for us.

I'm being thankful for all the family connections discovering over the years. I couldn't have stumbled across info with our going deeper in the my quest to know more. I believe that there is more to discover.

I believe in our family connections, the more we reach out to others on our family tree, we could find more on our lineage and may help out others who are connected with our family. I believe each of us have the missed clues to our family tree.

Some Amazing Discoveries: Some Solved Mysteries

I haven't come across much on the BBW Family Connections. I've been reading newspaper articles  and other documents that I've saved. There maybe clues that I've overlooked. Here is an example.

My latest search is on Earnest White. He was the son of John and Kate ( Estill) White. Clues came from death records and matching places... Louise White listed on the 1920 MO census as granddaughter of Kate White.

On a 1928 death record of Louise White , listed
her parents as Ernest White, and Kate Nichols. There is a death record of Katie White, father's last name Nichols. Katie passed in 1911...trying to .piece the puzzle... don't know who was the parents of Leo Kayon or Leo White, Kate Estill White's grandson on the MO 1920 census.

I have updated some of the bios on Find A Grave

Andrew White
Julia Finney White
Spencer White
John White
Martha "Mattie" White
